Linking Church and BYU-I Account to Complete BYU-I Application

Updated on

In order to apply to BYU-Idaho you need to link your church account with your BYU account. Because all CES applications go through BYU Provo you will need a BYU account. If you are a parent and want to help your child or aren't a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but want to apply follow this link and watch the corresponding videos.

Step 1: Log into your Church account here.

Step 2: Once logged in, if your page displays a set of numbers under where it says "Membership Record Number" you have an account connected to your church membership number. If there are no numbers displayed you can try to enter your member number and birthday which you can receive from your ward clerk. If your MRN is connected to another account, contact the Global Service Center at (855) 537-4357.

Step 3: Go to the BYU-Idaho Application page by going to https://www.byui.edu/apply and clicking on the "Apply Now" box.

Step 4: Click on "Sign in with Church Account" and login.

Step 5: Once logged into your church account it will send you to the Application Portal IF you have a BYU account. If not you will need to create a BYU account by clicking on the "accounts.byu.edu" link shown below. Provide the following information requested if you need to create your BYU account. This will help you to create a BYU Net ID and password.

Step 6: After creating a BYU account you will need to go back to the application and click on apply. You can then select BYU-Idaho and fill out the application.

Congratulations! After connecting your church account to a BYU account you can apply for BYU-Idaho. If you have any further questions please reach out to the Admissions Office at (208) 496-1300 or by emailing [email protected].
