Congratulations on preparing to graduate! Applying to graduate is easy; just follow this guide.

Step 1: Login to your my.byui.edu.

Step 2: Go to the "Tools" bar on the left and click the "Resources" tab. Click the "I-Plan" tab.

Step 3: Once on the I-Plan page, click on the "Graduation Application" tab.

Step 4: You will be brought to the Graduation Application page; here it lists your major, minor, the number of credits you have left in order to finish your degree, and the deadline to apply for graduation. Click on the "Apply to Graduation" button to the right.

NOTE: You can ONLY apply for graduation if you have registered for ALL remaining classes in your I-Plan. You will not be able to click this button otherwise.

Step 5: You will be taken to this introductory page. Click "Start Application" to begin.

Step 6: Review the information listed, then click "Looks good, continue."

Step 7: Type in your full name, then click "Continue."

Step 8: Select the country where you want your diploma mailed.

Step 9: Enter your full name, home city, and home state or country. Then click "Continue."

NOTE: You MUST select from the drop down for your home state or country, otherwise you cannot click "Continue."

Step 10: Indicate if you are planning on attending graduation ceremonies in-person or not. If you click "Yes" then the semester you will attend graduation will show.

NOTE: You may choose to attend graduation one semester before or after your last semester. To attend a semester other than the one shown, click "Attend a different semester."

Step 11: Enter your name as you would like it read out loud as you walk across the stage. You may add a pronunciation by clicking the button and typing the pronunciation(s) in brackets. Then click "Continue."

Step 12: If you would like to walk across the stage with a college other than the one shown, click "I'd like to attend a different one." Otherwise, click "Looks good, continue."

Step 13: Review the information listed. The entries with a pencil icon can be edited. Then click "Submit."

Congratulations, you've applied for graduation! You can check the status of your application by repeating steps 1-3 and refreshing the application status. Once your application is approved, you will have the option on the Graduation Application page to download and print your name card.
